I’m all out of tape so I then did my best free-handing the tips with one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in “Golden-I”.

It is very difficult to get skillful individuals with this issue, but you sound like you no doubt know what you are sharing! Many thanks

I honestly don’t understand spam like this… of which they make no sense nor link anywhere. Can anyone enlighten me?
What’s the point of this madness!!!!
      Is it Skynet?
Skynet, sending their cybernetic cyborg minions out in masses on orders to issue rampant nonsensical comments thereby molding the human brain down into a low level state of insanity over a painstakingly long period of time? Which is fine for them as they’re robots. They have all the time in the world. Yes.

So, nevermind. I figured it. Down with the machine!

    This blog is awesome!

OMG the gold tips are absolutely gorgeous!! :D How did you manage to get them like that? I googled other peoples swatches of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Golden-I and they looked nothing like this! Does it look the same IRL? Have you boosted the colours a tad in the photos maybe?

    • Christina says:

      Hi Anne! :D

I just googled swatches of “Sally Hansen Golden-I” and I definitely don’t want to pick others apart but… the pictures I’m seeing there are NOTHING like it is in person. In clicking on several of them, I also noticed google is pulling up pictures of Sally Hansen “Golden Child” as well. Grumble.

I never alter my pictures; I do however take about 1,000 of them all in different lighting throughout the day (when I can) and then sort through them all to find the most accurate in color and of course most aesthetically pleasing. Lighting comes into play big time when picking up nail polish colors accurately, which is another reason I always use natural light (and will make sure to state when I don’t). Direct sunlight will also make color looks sharper and more saturated than, say, those taken against a dimly light window (especially when it is a metallic).

Monitors vary, but according to my monitor, the color here is dead on. This is one of my absolute most favorite gold polishes in the world because it is so rich in addition to looking sparkly and dimensional, as if it’s flecked! I had planned on doing swatches of it once I own a few more golds, so I can do a gold-a-thon post…. maybe I can try to do a few swatches for you today and create a mini-post of it on it’s own? I’ll see what I can do for you ;) On my monitor it looks true to IRL but another possibility (since I can’t be 100% certain of what you’re seeing) is the coral may be “zapping” the colors of the photo a bit when translated to yours. (if you’ve ever photographed it before you know) Corals spazz out camaeras in the similar way neons and purples will.

I am also using “Golden-I” in an upcoming tutorial/joint collaborative with the blog “pretty face, happy bank” so you will also soon be able to see what it looks like paired with a color other than coral.

Thanks for the comment and let me know if you have any other questions for me, doll!

You saved me from the monotonous responsible tasks I was doing ;)
I took a few pictures for you and I hope it provides some additional information on this polish if you were considering purchasing it.
