Borough Babe “Fish Scales”
A polish I drooled over from afar for at least 6 months. I never dove in and tried it because I felt like it was one of those polishes that would be heavily disappointing and all I had to go off of was the bottle. I wont lie; the low amount of sales also made me think “there must be some reason people aren’t buying”. Which is 100% against my usual way of thinking and personal philosophies but nevertheless it was what it was and I stalked it from afar…
Well I finally broke down and decided I needed to try it.
Find out if this is a hidden jewel in the ocean after the jump!!!
Today I am super, super excited to present some Serum No5
I have a huge, crippling soft spot for Indie lacquer. So much so that I started to get a little… used to and a little.. tired of glitter bombs 24/7. Shocking, I know.
Only to then receive a box full of goodies and I was truly. blown. away.
You have to see these after the jump!!
Over the weekend spotted the entire China Glaze “Glitz Bitz ‘n Pieces” collection on clearance at Sally’s – $2.69/bottle!
$2 .69/Bottle – not bad!
An emerald green hex glitter in small, medium and larger size accompanied by black bars and black hex glitter in small, medium and larger sizes.
‘Scattered & Tattered”
A rosey pink hex glitter in small, medium and larger size accompanied by black bars and black hex glitter in small, medium and larger sizes.
An older collection from January/February 2013 so not new news however a bit of a rundown on performance -
Chunky. Not terribly so, but the positive of that means good coverage. Mainstream lacquer companies seem to have such a hard time getting their glitter to give good! While I love this collection, I do also wonder why mainstream lacquer companies feel the urge to put bar glitter in 3/4 of their “unusual” glitter polishes. Curious..
While Sallys are typically independent and their variety, let alone clearance, varies it’s a good reminder to check it whenever you stop by!
Candy Sparkle Collection
Check out this Indie Line, after the jump!!
And to kick it off… a graphic that looks like it came straight out of geocities.
Are you scared yet?
See a bloody heart-y helping of ghoulish polish after the jump!!
So this is my current favorite lacquer of the moment. A combination polish, this lacquer reminds me of a million different things all at once. Some of them are not even remotely close to one another yet, somehow, they are able to simultaneously co-exist as if this polish came from a sub-dimension within a parallel universe. Cats and dogs living together!
Cherry blossoms, spring flowers, christmas glitter, halloween ooze, monster zombies, Adventure Time grass monsters, mixed drinks, simply good times.
So the NOTD that I’m wearing as I head out for a Resident Evil movie date is
Serum No.5 “Call It A ‘TreUse”

For this week, I wanted to return focus on the Indie lacquer line Pibble Polish. Particularly on the color “Faithful Friend” and the story of Moo, the pitbull behind the brand.
