Indie Thursdays 365 Days of Color Swatch and Review of Birthday Bash
You may or may not have noticed but I’ve resumed working on the webpage which includes setting up a lot of original plans such as “Indie Thursday”
To kick off “Indie Thursdays” here are full swatches and review of 365 Days of Color “Birthday Bash”
365 Days of Color describes “BB” as:
“Who doesnt love birthdays?? I know I do. this reminds me of a birthday party, filled with confetti glitter!!! There are multicolored shredded glitter in this polish along with fine turquoise glitter all suspended in a white base. Which let me tell ya, white base glitters are my favorite!!!!!”
See swatches, review and links after the jump!!
“Birthday Bash” is like the festive paper plates at the end of the party: filled with melted ice cream cake, streamers, wrapping paper shrapnel and confetti.
I, too, also love white bases and this base is a true white that features shreds of all colors and sizes (pink, blue, orange, green, white, yellow gold) plus a generous helping of small square glitters. In natural sun these square glitters appear green and blue, with mostly blue as the dominant color by far. At night, in unnatural lighting, green becomes the dominant small glitter color by far.
Official swatch from the website:Nom, nom, nom!
I expected this polish to be very thick, however I needed the usual three coats to reach opacity. This also made it easy to work with.
Brush and bottle shots:
Attempts at a rotating view so you can get a really good idea of what this polish is in person
If you aren’t a fan of shreds that don’t lay completely flat (but honestly, which do?) such as American Apparel’s “Meteor Shower”, then be warned that this polish does offer some shardy texture:
All following swatches are of three coats “BB” with both glossy top coat, and matte top coat.
I picked up three polishes from 365 Days of Color on July 1st and they arrived at my doorstep on the 11th. I ordered “Birthday Bash”, “Waking Up In Vegas”, and “Rock Candy”; these other two I am working on their swatches today!
“Birthday Bash” is $8.00 for 15ml (what you see pictured) at the 365 Days Cartel shop (FOUND HERE). A mini is also offered for $4.50 for a 5ml bottle. 365 Days of Color can also be found on Facebook (FOUND HERE)
Yay for Indie Thursdays!
